ALRIGHT LET’S GET INTO IT!
So, the week’s little newsletter has a work theme (I know, inspiring stuff Chaz!!!), which is great because as someone who prides themselves on their work, and producing new and fresh content, I’m devastated to announce that this week I am COMPLETELY phoning it in with some old content that I’m desperately hoping you don’t remember seeing the first time around.
And look, who here hasn’t done that from time to time? DON’T YOU JUDGE ME.
Thing is, it’s been a busy few weeks. I got deliberately stuck in London last week and been playing catchup ever since.
But enough boring humble-brag excuses. Let’s take a dive into the work-related ‘old stuff’ bin!
Ironically, this first one is kind of how the last two weeks have gone for me…
What next? Actually, maybe this next one is closer to the reasons for me having to bust out old comics in a moment of panic.
Oooh I know right? It’s a clever one!!! Sometimes when I’m on my A Game I’m capable of this kind of thing. But this week? Absolutely not.
Anyway, here’s one for the long suffering fellow freelancers. Keep it up my darlings.
You know what would be a great move at this point, after gleefully admitting that I’ve completely failed to produce new material this week?
THAT’S RIGHT! A quick plug for this very Newsletter! - Would you like to receive this kind of nonsense each week in your inbox? Go on then! Sign up here if you haven’t already!
Ok! Back into it! What’s next in store? Let’s have a look around…
How about a Staff Party Survival Guide?! Sure, this comic would be far more pertinent say, around the end of the year when stuff parties actually happen, but we are obviously not doing accuracy this week.
No, this week is the equivalent of me madly throwing clothes out of a wardrobe screaming “I Have Nothing to Wear!”
Ok, moving right along! Here’s some advice for any managers struggling to work out how to get those Gen Z’s to actually do some work for once…
(Gen Z’s - if you’re reading this, don’t fall for it, never work - look how well it’s worked out for me this week)
And then that brings us furiously careening to the end in a cloud of manic dust and desperation! What a ride! Here’s an old time classic to finish off this creativly disasterous week!
AH YES. How great are we all feeling now.
As always, please do forward this on to anyone else who also might need an injection of procrastination in their day (seriously, that’s probably the best way to support the publication!)
And of course, like and comment and do all the stuff on the Substack version of this if that’s your vibe!
And that’s me done for this week! I’m traveling through Germany with my parents next week, so with any luck that should produce a huge amount of entertaining content, which will eventually get drawn. Hopefully.
Till then, Auf Wiedersehen!!!
C.
Good stuff never gets old. It deserves a rerun.
This was a straight up carpet bombing of freelancing truth bombs. Brutal.
(Great job)
