I'm A Massive Idiot.

This is one of my more entertaining fuck ups.

So, earlier this week after mere minutes of thought, I finally came up with a name for this freshly baked publication.

Chaz Draws. I loved it. It seemed to work so well.

I drew up all the headers and logos, and excitedly wrote up the  announcement post, and send my wonderful creation out in the world, thinking to myself “Great work Chaz, you’ve nailed that, that name is perfect and came to you so easily”

Soon, I would realise exactly why, after one of my closest friends, a Berlin based artist called Roy, would message me from their own instagram account ROY DRAWS.

(Which you should check out by the way, it’s really, really great)

Anyway, YEP - turns out my brilliant idea was basically just to completely rip-off the naming format of a fellow artist and one of my best friends.

And I honestly didn’t even realise. Ridiculous.

Anyway, the good news was that Roy thought it was pretty funny, and apparently a lot of other artists use a similar format anyway. Regardless, I went back to the literal drawing board and started working on finding a new name.

Which is why this thing is now called Outlined.

Yes, I considered Outlines (felt slightly less specific, not enough purpose to it), and The Outline (There’s a fair few of those already)

So, Outlined it is!

Oh and the Free Friday Email will be…
